Based in Southern England I carry out out repairs and service to the majority of O, OO gauge locos and rolling stock such as Hornby, Lima, Triang, Wrenn, Mainline, Bassett-Lowke etc. for Special facilities are available for Hornby Dublo ( 2 and 3 rail ) and Wrenn locomotives. Engines which won't go soon will after a careful complete overhaul, clean and proper lubrication. Even the ones which go only with hesitation are like new after I have given them a little time and loving attention. It is very difficult to give a fixed price for this type of work but as a rough guide an uncomplicated clean and service without any spare parts could be approx £15. Add to this price should spares be required. Some older models would cost more where scarce spares have to be found or fabricated. 'Basket' cases, though welcome, will tend to cost more accordingly. |

2. Buying trains&trainsets |
I am always on the lookout for model trains of any make, any condition and any quantity. If you have any model trains in your attic, garage or garden shed which are ready for disposal I will be interested to know what you have. I am willing to travel to examine your trains and will buy your whole collection, not just individual items. All work carried out on a private transaction basis |
